This website is intended to provide Kaua‘i communities with information about Pacific Missile Range Facility Barking Sands (PMRF), the Navy’s stewardship efforts to protect natural and cultural resources within its care, and its role in the community. The Navy strives to balance its mission for national defense with the long-term protection of the Kaua‘i landscape and heritage.
PMRF has a strong relationship with the community and is viewed as a good neighbor and community partner. The Navy values the support of its host community and is committed to keeping stakeholders and community members informed of actions being proposed at PMRF.
This website and quarterly newsletter are meant to provide a proactive method for two-way communication, promoting greater dialogue, working collaboratively toward common goals, and developing solutions.
